Steps to be taken before Update or Patch Process:
Take Backup or Snapshot of Virtual Machine.
If y'all are using external database take Fill-in of Database.
First you need to download the Patch from the VMware website.
Mount the Patch ISO to the VCSA 6.5 VM using vSphere web client or ESXi spider web client.
Footstep 1:
Access the VCSA Appliance Management using browser. Use VCSA IP accost or hostname with port 5480.
https://VCSA IP or Hostname:5480
For eastward.g https://192.168.0.122:5480
Choose Update from the Navigator.
Click on Bank check Updates. You will get ii options One is Check Repository which will check the Repository either online or offline for updates & Second is Check CDROM which will check for attached ISO to the VCSA.
Footstep two:
It will check for the patches inside ISO.
You volition become the details almost Available Updates.
Click on Install Updates > Install CDROM Updates.
Pace 3:
Accept the license Agreement & click Install the start the Update Installation.
It volition have few minutes to install the updates. You tin can too see the condition of the update process.
One time the process completed to 100% y'all will run into that Packages upgraded successfully. Yous have to reboot the VCSA to consummate the installation.
Click OK to close the Magician & Reboot the vCenter Server Appliance to complete the update installation.
